Local Health Economy Business Intelligence Template (LHE BIT®)
The LHE BIT® is a bespoke business planning tool that supports field based teams in planning and delivering on their commercial objectives. It enables teams in the first two or three months in the field to gain a real understanding of the local market, its needs, its demographics and identify the key local decision makers. It guides the teams to ask the relevant questions of their customers and build up a picture of the local health economy quickly, thus enabling them to rapidly exploit any commercial opportunities.
The LHE BIT® confers many advantages, including:
- Enabling access to be gained into key PCOs
- Providing structure to meetings and conversations
- Identifying KDMs, flows of information, and direction of PCO strategy
- Identifying organisational knowledge gaps
- Isolating priorities in documents, this may then be utilised as hooks.
Therefore, the LHE BIT® provides a direction for tackling the PCOs. Following the LHE BIT® systematically unravels the complex scenarios prevalent in the local health economy.
Using the LHE BIT® identifies key issues in the PCO. Sometimes these may seem innocuous, but may have a direct impact on other PCOs. Therefore, it is important not to disregard any PCOs, as this year’s non-priority PCOs may become priority next year depending on the findings in the LHE BIT®.
